Whether this is your first time practicing prenatal fitness or you have been to a pregnancy workout class before, we believe Pilates is very beneficial to both the mind and body during pregnancy. At 3D Fitness, we cater to our soon-to-be-mothers and their bodies that are constantly changing. Here at 3D Fitness in Houston, TX, we cater to the needs of our ever changing moms and fetus’, and continue after the babies arrive with our postnatal modifications. Our small group Pilates classes serve to invigorate the body by increasing circulation, improving breathing technique, and addressing neuromuscular imbalances. Achieving these goals will help to alleviate muscle and joint aches and other discomforts felt along the way.  Some of the most common complaints during pregnancy can be reduced with exercise, including: body aches, fatigue and sleep problems, heartburn and indigestion, constipation, urinary frequency and leaking, and leg cramps.  Allow our Pilates calls to help you enjoy your pregnancy and be more physically prepared for the birth and postnatal weeks!

Should You Workout While Pregnant?

​It is very important to consult your doctor before beginning any exercise program, especially if you are pregnant. The reason for this is to not only continually monitoring your health, but to determine if there are any limitations that you should be aware of before you start. With this in mind, it is important to not overdo it. Always remember to warm up slowly, drink plenty of water and take breaks if you need to while working out. ​

Can I Start Pilates Reformer?

Pilates Reformer is a little different than Pilates taught on a mat.  If you haven't experienced Pilates on a Reformer, we encourage you to begin with 2-5 introductory sessions taught one-on-one by an instructor. This will ensure your comfort level with the equipment, and your own body, before committing to the group classes.
